Basic Misting Kit -
This kit is very easy to assemble.  Connection to the water source is via a 3/4 female hose to 1/4" adapter, which fits on a standard hose fitting.  If you want to connect to a household sink a "waterbed filling adapter" will be required.  This part is available at most discount stores.  The 1/4" supply hose connects to the adapter via a 1/4" compression fitting; all you have to do is push the line up into the adapter to make a watertight seal.  After connecting the supply line you will use the "T" fittings  to "drop off" hose to your nozzles (see diagram).  The nozzles screw into the adapter and usually provide a water tight seal without any sealant, should there be any leakage use Teflon tape around nozzle before screwing them into the adapter (DO NOT USE ANY KIND OF PIPE DOPE).  Before connecting the nozzle/adapter assembly to the hose it is a good idea to turn on the water and flush the hose.  The nozzle and adapter assembly can then be attached to the 1/4" supply hose.  At the end of the line use one of the "T"s to end the line.  Just connect the open ends of the "T" with a small piece of tubing (see diagram).

Maintenance -

No matter what you may hear sooner or later all nozzles will clog or start to function improperly, but with a little maintenance you can take care of this problem.  Most clogs are caused by one of three different things, rust in your pipes, minerals in your water or algae buildup in the nozzles.  Rust and mineral problem can be kept to a minimum by placing a water filter in-line.  Ice maker or coffee maker water filter can be purchased at your local home center.  Both of these units greatly reduce the risk of clogging.  If mineral buildup does occur on the nozzle, the nozzle can be soaked in vinegar overnight to remove the deposits.  If algae buildup is the problem, soak the nozzle in bleach overnight.  If rust or dirt is the problem usually blowing backwards though the sprayer will dislodge the clog.  NEVER, NEVER, NEVER TRY TO CLEAN OUT THE SPRAYER BY STICKING ANYTHING INTO THE MISTING ORIFICE.
